As the first neurosurgeon here, he has significantly advanced neuro and spine surgery. Dr. Umesh Kalra, with a stellar academic background, holds an MBBS and MS from PGIMS, Rohtak, and an MCh in Neurosurgery from SMS Medical College, Jaipur. He also completed a Fellowship in Spine Surgery at Apollo Specialty, Madras.

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Umesh Kalra has performed more than 15,000 neurological procedures. He specializes in minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, skull base surgery, neurovascular surgery, extracranial-intracranial bypass surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, and epilepsy surgery. His extensive expertise and dedication have earned him a reputation as an eminent neurosurgeon in the region.

Dr. Umesh Kalra’s professional journey includes significant tenures at prestigious institutions. He began his career at CMC, Ludhiana, gaining substantial experience in advanced neurosurgical interventions. He further honed his skills at Sarvodaya Multispecialty & Cancer Hospital, where he performed complex neurosurgical surgeries and provided comprehensive patient care.
