About Dr. Vijay Singh

Dr. Vijay Singh is an eminent anesthesia practitioner who has always delivered his best and is an expert in the field of anesthesia and critical care medicine. He did his MBBS from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and DNB in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care from Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt. Moreover, Dr. Singh has obtained Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) qualifications from NHCPS and a Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). His academic achievements and practical skills account for his vast knowledge; therefore, he is one of the best anesthetists in Hisar.

Dr. Vijay Singh’s professional journey has been of many shades and rewarding at the same time. Since December 2021, he has been working as the only Graded Specialist in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at the 200-bed military hospital in Alwar. His duties here include supervision of all operation theatre assets and effective utilization of both workforce and material resources which speaks of his commanding personality.

Dr. Singh spent the period between December 2019 and December 2021 on a foreign assignment with the United Nations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). While serving in this capacity at a level three hospital within the MONUSCO mission, he performed life-saving anaesthesiology work and was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the sector commander for his contribution towards preserving lives in dire situations. The award for Hospital Quality and Patient Safety (HQPS) was presented to the hospital due to the great overall achievement of which his work was a component.

His Second-In-Command position in October 2017 included working at a remote field hospital in Arunachal Pradesh, where Dr. Singh was based until December 2019. He manned a four-bed intensive care unit and two operation theatres, constraining traumatic, busy emergency cases and surgical procedures. This also involved the retrieval and stabilization of patients who were critically ill and located far from higher medical centers, emphasizing surgical anesthesia and ventilatory management in very challenging circumstances.

In addition, Dr.Singh has been an active member of various other medical associations in the country, including the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists and the National Academy of Medical Science (MNAMS). These memberships underline his desire to be active in the field and to help professional anesthetics progress.
