DR. YOGITA VERMA

Dr. Yogita Verma is a well –qualified, self-motivated and enthusiastic microbiologist who has worked in hospitals as well as in the academic sector. She completed her education from premier institutions of india – MBBS from Stanley Medical College in Chennai, MD, Microbiology from the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi. Moreover, to build up her competency, she underwent a fellowship program in hepato virology & transplant virology at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi. Additionally, she has received training in Hospital infection control from UMCG, Groningen, Netherlands.

Having them as a focus of her practice, Dr. Verma has added valuable insights and received practical experience in microbiology and hepatovirology. She has worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Microbiology, SBKSMI & RC, Vadodara, where she was actively involved in post graduate teaching, Diagnostic & Hospital Infection Control activities. She has also worked with SPS Hospitals Sirsa, where she worked as a consultant in microbiology, gave important inputs, and worked for the microbiology department of the hospital.

Dr. Verma is a member of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), American Society of Microbiology (ASM), IAMM, ISMM and other professional bodies, which shows her concern for remaining updated with current trends as well as engaging in research activities. She strives to gain comprehensive knowledge, which makes her a valuable member of the medical profession. She has authored many international publications in leading research journals.
