What is the process?
Parents do not have to think about a complex, painful procedure, and the paediatric root canals are much easier and faster than the adult ones. Usually, this is what occurs:
Examination and X-Rays
The dentist will proceed to do X-rays to find out the damages, and whether the tooth will be salvaged.
Anaesthesia
Local anaesthetic is used to strip the area and is kidney-friendly. In others, the sedation can be provided to allow fearful children to relax.
Cleaning the Pulp Chamber
Infected or damaged pulp is painstakingly removed. The roots are cleansed and decontaminated.
Filling and Sealing
The space is sealed, and an uninfectious substance is applied to prevent the bacteria being reintroduced.
Crowning the Tooth
The dentist often crowned the tooth to safeguard it further– usually with stainless steel because of the longevity in children.
